Behdet Room

The chamber Behdet is to the left of it (Mesenet) and contains the image of the goddess Mehit and the Divine Ennead, who watch over Wesir. The god Shu is there as north wind, in order to unite himself with Wesir's nostrils, as it is his duty in the Horizon of Eternity (the tomb), together with Tefnut as flame in order to burn the enemies of Wesir, as she does in Areq-heh when she is the goddess Menet, the Eye of Ra with the fear-inspiring pupil (and at the same time) the goddess Sekhmet, the Great One, the Mistress of all Sekhmet goddesses.

About the Behdet Room

The Behdet, or Throne Room, is dedorated with the images of the goddess Mehyt. She is a daughter of Ra, and takes the image of a lion who protected the roads which the Akhu travelled to the Underworld. The purpose of the Behdet Room was to protect the temple of Heru by the expiatory offering of incense. On the left side of her sacred barqe is a hymn that describes her anger and aggressiveness, and on her right a hymn extolling her as peaceful and beneficient.

As says above, the Behdet Room is also home to the Divine Ennead who watch over Wesir, performing various tasks to prevent harm to Wesir and to burn His enemies.
