Mansion of the Prince
The House of the Prince (Wesir) is behind it (Shetjit), opening on to it, and measuring 6 2/3 (cubits) by the same (6 2/3)... These are the palaces of Iun (Wesir) in Behdet. His forms have been carved on the walls of the three chambers. The two weeping and mourning women, the two sisters, protect him; they are the two kites, Aset and Nebt-het, are the ones who transfigure his Ka. The four Asebet goddesses protect the bier. The four Yinepu gods, the four door-keepers of the underworld [...], the sharp-eyed protective gods. The gods of the underworld, who do not leave their districts, are jointly responsible for his protection. Heru the Protector of his Father protects him. Djehuty the Great One reads the festival ritual for him. The gods of Behdet, the Children of Herakhty, the living Ba of Ra in the midst of his children and the underworld gods, who guard the nome [and] his [towns], are in their place, and watch over him.
About The Mansion of the Prince
One of three chapels in the north-west of the corridor devoted to the cult of Wesir. Combined with the Sokar chamber, these chapels are known as Portals of the Pillar-god Wesir. This chapel represented the sanctuary of Wesir in On (Heliopolis), The ancient Wesir Mysteries are recorded in the reliefs. The most important shows Wesir seated on His throne celebrating His Heb-Sed festival, Behdet being central to the importance of the Heb-sed and the seat of the King's power.
More on the Sokar Chamber
In addition to this being the place of the Wesir Mysteries and His Heb-Sed, I, being a Prince in Kemetic Orthodoxy use this page as a launching point for Per-Herupaneb, my personal pages.
