Moreover, there is a door of the Connecting Room, south of it, opening on the Corridor just as on the western side. This room has the perfect dimensions of 7 (cubits) by 4 an contains all rituals for the presentation of the food offerings.
The Treasury is to the south of it, opens on to it and measures 11 cubits by 4. It is the Perfect Seat for gold, silver, precious stones, and protective amulets.
About the Treasury
The Connecting Room connects to the passage whereby the Daily Offerings were brought into the temple from the Slaughterhouse that was outside the Temple wall. Just south of the Connecting Room is the Treasury, where all the precious metals and jewels were kept, as well as protective amulets.
From the Building Texts:
He (Heru Behdety) has enriched its treasuries with numerous requirements of gold and silver. He has stocked its granaries with barley and emmer in excess of the daily rations, and has equipped its storehouse with servants ceaselessly performing their tasks. He has filled its byres to overflowing with long and short horned cattle, to supply their daily portions, and provided its bird-pools with plump fowl so as to be able to present their choice parts to the temple.
